Terms of ServiceLITE

1. Eligibility

You must be old enough to enter into a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction. If you are below the age of majority, you may use the App only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

Because LITE shows advertising, we specifically do not serve personalized advertising to users we know to be under: 13 (United States, COPPA), 14 (Republic of Korea, PIPA), or 16 (European Union, GDPR; may be lower per Member State).

2. License to Use the App

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download and use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial entertainment, supported by advertising.

This license does not grant you any rights in the App's source code, design, artwork, music, or any underlying intellectual property beyond what is necessary to play the game.

3. Game Account & Progress

3.1 Platform Account

The App integrates with Apple Game Center (iOS) and Google Play Games Services (Android) for leaderboards and progress sync. Your use of those services is governed by Apple's and Google's respective terms.

3.2 Leaderboard & Data

Run scores, seasonal rankings, and related data are stored on our servers. We may reset leaderboards at the start of each new season and archive or delete old-season data. Data handling is detailed in the LITE Privacy Policy.

3.3 Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing us (see Section 13). Deletion is irreversible and removes your leaderboard history.

4. Advertising & Analytics

4.1 Ads

LITE is free and supported by advertising. The App displays banner, interstitial, and/or rewarded ads delivered by Google AdMob. By using LITE, you acknowledge that ads will be shown, and their content is provided by third parties we do not control.

4.2 Advertising Identifiers (IDFA / AAID)

Ad SDKs may access the advertising identifier on your device:

• iOS: IDFA access requires your consent via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt. If you decline, only contextual (non-personalized) ads will be shown.
• Android: Google Advertising ID (AAID) is subject to your device's "Opt out of Ads Personalization" setting.

4.3 EEA / UK Consent (Google UMP)

If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain your consent before serving personalized ads, in compliance with GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive. You can manage or withdraw consent at any time via the in-app "Privacy Options" menu.

4.4 Analytics & Crash Reporting

We use Firebase Analytics (anonymous usage events, pseudonymous Instance ID) and Firebase Crashlytics (stack traces, device model, OS version, anonymous Installation UUID) strictly to understand gameplay patterns and to fix crashes. These services are provided by Google under its Firebase Privacy & Security policy.

4.5 No Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information. Under California law (CCPA/CPRA), serving personalized ads based on advertising identifiers may be deemed "sharing"; you may opt out via ATT (iOS), Android settings, or by emailing us with the subject "Do Not Sell / Share My Personal Information".

5. Purchases & Refunds

LITE is free to download and play. It may offer optional purchases (for example, to remove ads or unlock extra features) through the app store; if such purchases are offered, they will be clearly presented in the App.

All purchases, if any, are made through the app store platform (Apple App Store or Google Play), which is the seller of record and handles payment, receipts, and refunds under its own policies:

Please direct all refund requests to the store. We cannot issue refunds directly.

6. Intellectual Property

All content in the App — including source code, game design, artwork, characters, names, music, sound effects, UI, text, and trademarks — is owned by ROOT GAMES or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any such rights to you.

Advertising creative displayed within the App is the property of its respective advertisers and is not endorsed by us.

You may capture screenshots and gameplay video for non-commercial personal use, streaming, or content creation, provided you do not misrepresent the work as your own or modify it to imply our endorsement.

7. Community Translation Contributions

The community translation program at dungeontracer.com/localization is shared between the main edition and LITE. By submitting a translation suggestion:

• You confirm the content is your own original work (or properly licensed).
• You grant ROOT GAMES a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, and distribute the suggestion as part of the App, promotional materials, and any successor or derivative works, without further compensation.
• You agree your chosen name or nickname may be listed publicly on the Translation Contributors page. You may request anonymization or removal at any time.

We may accept, reject, edit, or remove any submission at our discretion. Abusive, hateful, infringing, illegal, spam, or machine-translation-abuse submissions may be deleted and the submitter's access restricted.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree that you will not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, tamper with, or attempt to extract source code or assets from the App, except to the extent expressly permitted by law;
• Use cheats, unauthorized modifications, bots, emulators that alter gameplay, memory editors, or any tool that inflates scores or bypasses security;
• Interact with ads fraudulently, including auto-clicking, click farms, or any behavior that violates AdMob program policies;
• Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities for unfair advantage or to disrupt service for other players;
• Attempt to access other users' accounts, data, or our servers without authorization;
• Interfere with or overload our servers (brute-force, abusive scraping, DoS, etc.);
• Submit false, misleading, or infringing content, including translation suggestions;
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users, staff, or community moderators (including on Discord);
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.

We may suspend or terminate access, invalidate scores, refuse ad service, and refer serious abuse to law enforcement.

9. Third-Party Services

LITE integrates the following third-party services:

• Apple Game Center (iOS) — sign-in & leaderboard
• Google Play Games Services (Android) — sign-in & leaderboard
• Google AdMob — ad delivery and measurement
• Google UMP — consent management (EEA/UK)
• Google Firebase Analytics — anonymous usage analytics
• Google Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting
• Server hosting — Vultr (Republic of Korea)

Each service is subject to its own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services except as required by law.

10. Service Changes & Termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App, the leaderboard, the advertising service, or any feature at any time. Where feasible, we will provide advance notice of significant changes. We may terminate or suspend your access for violations of these Terms or for legal, security, or operational reasons, with or without notice where reasonable.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. This includes but is not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant the availability, accuracy, or safety of any advertisement shown in the App; advertising is provided by third-party networks under their own terms.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

12.1 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ROOT GAMES and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of the App or any ads shown in it, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall not exceed five U.S. dollars (USD 5). This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12.2 Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ROOT GAMES from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the App, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute shall be brought exclusively in the Seoul Central District Court, unless a mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence grants you the right to bring the case in your local courts (in which case that right is preserved).

14. Miscellaneous

• Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right.
• Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the LITE Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App.
• Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, or to an affiliate.
• Notices. We may provide notices in the App, on our website, or by email.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide reasonable advance notice. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
